D Terrace Luxury Residences

We come back to this building with friends every year, and the units have all been great. The pool is only for people staying in the building, so it never feels overcrowded.

We stayed in Penthouse 1 and won't return. I've been visiting PV several times a year for 20 years, and this was the most unresponsive management or ownership I've dealt with there. The unit was unsanitary, with bird feces on the windows, on the living room floor inside, and all over the outdoor living area. The owner insisted I pay for a scheduled cleaning, but the service never showed up. This listing was a bad experience all around. We'll go back to dealing with Maxwell Property Agents and stay away from these scams. We learned the hard way.

We've already booked Penthouse 2 at D'Terrace for next year. We loved our stay. Although it sits in the heart of downtown, it was quiet in the evenings, unlike many condos in the area. There are hundreds of restaurants within a 2-15 minute walk, and several entertainment venues are close by. The staff were delightful, and security is there 24/7. The condo was very well furnished, and we didn't lack for anything. We thought its balcony might be the best in the building: it had a good view, shade from the afternoon sun and protection from winds that sometimes pick up then. We spotted whales every day from either the balcony or the pool area. The balcony view was good, and the rooftop pool had a gorgeous panoramic view and was a great place to watch the sunset.

D'Terrace has become our regular place when we visit Puerto Vallarta. We used to live here and have returned for years since moving away. It's tucked on a small street, one block from the beach, with restaurants, spas, grocery stores and the charm of Zona Romatica all within walking distance. The building is well maintained, with great views, a fabulous rooftop pool and bar, an excellent gym, and top notch security.
