Hotel Vallartasol

We arrived late around noon, already tired, and had to carry our heavy luggage up to the 3rd floor because the elevator wasn’t working. During the Chaos, the gate was closed for everyone’s safety. There was no food all day, but in the evening we needed to do something, and they let us cook in their kitchen for 180 per person. I’m thankful we at least got something to eat, eggs, ham, and cheese. We didn’t use our full 7 days booking and transferred to another hotel.

The courtyard is lovely, the pool is heated and well kept, and the beds are comfy. The shower gets hot fast, the kitchenette has what you need, and there’s free coffee and pastry in the morning. Staff are amazing, and it’s close to the beach, bars, and grocery stores. Most guests are seniors, but I am too, so that was all good. I love this place and will definitely return.

The hotel is basic, but our room was spacious and clean, with daily housekeeping. The pool and dining options here aren’t much to write home about, though there are great places to eat within walking distance. Location is the biggest plus, it’s walkable and right by a bus stop for trips to centro or the marina. If you don’t enjoy walking, this may not be the right spot.

We had a wonderful time, and the staff were VERY friendly. The pool was great for the kiddos with us. When our air conditioning started leaking water, they took care of it and the manager moved us to another room. We knew in advance there was no refrigerator, microwave, or hairdryer in the rooms. They did have coffee and pastries in the mornings. You could buy fruit for $3.00, or eggs, bacon, and refried beans for $10.00, which included fruit and pastries. There’s a Subway, a coffee shop with wonderful cakes, and a couple of other Mexican restaurants within walking distance.
