Roger was a terrific host, and the place was comfortable, with a homey feel. It's half a block from the Malecón, and the price is definitely right. The bar is ready to help, and there are lots of amenities. Don't overlook this one, it's legit. Can't wait to come back!

The host was a big help, pointing us to authentic local places for good food and drinks. It's an excellent spot near the beach!

The location is very unsafe. There are no doors, so anyone can come in, and there are no rooms. When you arrive, a foreigner collects payment for all the nights without giving a receipt or anything, and that's the only time you see him. This place is not recommended at all. It's filthy, and the photos posted on websites aren't real. They just put mattresses on the floor, with greasy pillows and sheets that look like they haven't been washed in years. People smoke in the rooms. Sleeping is impossible because it's behind nightclubs and bars, with loud music all night.

Roger, the owner, is super friendly. He gives you his number, shares his best recommendations, and keeps an eye on things. He's a really good person. It's a hostel that's still being developed, not a luxurious place, but it's fine if you mainly need somewhere to sleep and have a good time. The boardwalk is only a block away, which is the best part. It is noisy because there are bars next door and across the street, so I'd recommend it to young people.
