The staff were caring and really accommodating, and the views were great. We felt like the only people at the hotel, though; the only time we saw anyone was at the beach restaurant below. If you want lots to do nearby, this may not be the spot. An Uber took just 3 minutes to the main Malecon strip, so getting there wasn't too bad. Since the hotel is on a main road, we could hear cars passing at night, which made it a little hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper.

The architecture is quirky, and our room had a huge balcony with a wonderful sea view. We really enjoyed the super nice restaurant down on the beach. There are lots of stairs and no lifts, so this isn't suitable if you have mobility issues. Downtown is nearby, but the road between there and the hotel isn't nice to walk, so we needed to take Uber all the time.

The view is very pretty, and the staff are so nice. The restaurant is delicious, but the pool doesn't look inviting and I haven't seen anyone use it. Our corner room wasn't very nice; from the balcony, the other rooms looked better. There are no elevators, and you have a ton of stairs to climb for everything.

We had the best Christmas vacation with my 11 year old. The hotel is beautiful and very family friendly, the staff are kind and helpful, and we could see whales from our room. It was an amazing trip.

We stayed in 2021 while they were remodeling the rooms. Even so, the service and experience were excellent. The views were beautiful, and the beach was so quiet it felt almost private for guests.
