We’ve been coming to lovely PV for more than 25 years and have usually felt welcome wherever we stayed. This one was the exception. During our one-week rental, we rarely felt acknowledged, comfortable, or welcome. The staff didn’t seem trained to help or provide service, and it never felt like anyone was in charge. Some staff enforced rules in an authoritarian way, even though we hadn’t been told about them. Is this the “New PV”? It felt pretentious and unwelcoming. Take it or leave it. The property is beautiful, the location is great, and the pool area is upscale. But it seemed either poorly built or not properly maintained, as other reviews mention cracked walls and mold. The condo was nice, but the water was rarely hot. The views are great, though anything facing the street gets very loud pounding music until 4 am. Overall, not a good experience. Other one-star reviews got it right.

The rooms were roomy enough for my family of five, and the accommodations were good. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and my favorite place to spend the day, whatever the weather. The hot tub was just okay, though. It could be warmer, and the jets need fixing. Apart from that, I highly recommend it.

The building is well maintained and in a good location, but staying here felt like being in a police state. Cameras in the common areas are watched constantly, guests have to leave ID at the desk and wear identification bracelets at all times, and guards monitor your behavior. Smoking is restricted to a tiny square on the roof deck. If you want a fun, relaxed vacation, Lot 268 isn’t for you.
