Hotel Mocali

The location was awesome, just a few blocks from the beach and malecon. My friend and I liked the simple breakfast and complimentary coffee. It was a busy week, and she got earplugs because her room was by the staircase. Good hotel, especially if you’re on a budget.

I stayed here for about 2.5 weeks and found it to be an excellent no-frills hotel in a great location. The staff were kind and friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beach was only a couple of blocks away.

I paid 600 mxn per night, around 30 dollars, during the off season, so I can’t say whether rates go up at other times. At that price, don’t expect anything fancy, but it was good enough for me. The parking area is a decent size, and you can come and go 24/7. I’d definitely come back. The location is great, about four blocks from the beach and a casual 10-minute walk to the sea horse monument. The rooms are quite small, but I only used mine to crash after a night out and store my things, so it worked fine. The beds could be softer, though I slept fine. There’s a ceiling fan, mini split, flat screen, and hot and cold water all night. The basics are covered.

This is a basic budget hotel in a great spot, with lots of food options nearby. Don’t come expecting amenities, but if you’re happy spending long days at the beach, the basics are fine. Try the little places around the hotel. They’re very much worth it, and the families running those small restaurants really appreciate your business.
