I’ve visited Puerto Vallarta for years, and this is the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in. Spanish Moon has become my new spot in the ZR, and I’m already hoping to come back soon. The hosts were warm and quick to respond, which meant a lot while I was on my own for a few days. The location won me over even though it isn’t by the beach. I loved my morning walks past the Rio Cuale, and the area around the Mercado Municipal has a lovely, authentic Mexican feel. I picked up ingredients there for breakfast, including jackfruit and homemade queso Oaxaca, made passion fruit tequila smoothies, and bought warm tortillas from the nearby tortilleria. There are good cafes and small restaurants close by too: I had great tacos around the corner and some of the best café de olla down the street. The little shops selling Mexican goods were a nice find, with much lower prices than near the malecon. Everything was walkable for me. The kitchen was fully stocked with the small things you might not think to bring, which I especially appreciated as someone who likes to cook. The rooftop pool was clean and cool, with gorgeous views. The neighborhood was quiet when I wanted a break from busy days at the beach or in the ZR. One small drawback: there’s a school or university next door, with a sports area beside the hotel. Kids playing there could get loud in the mornings, around 9-11am, and it made rooftop breakfast harder to enjoy. I was usually out most of the day, though, and could chalk it up to local flavor. It’s also not very close to the beach, but getting around on foot was easy. I’ve stayed in places that looked lovely online and disappointed in person. Here, the owners clearly paid attention to the details, from the kitchen to the comfortable feel of the place. Gracias for a wonderful stay.

The remodeled rooms look fantastic, with such chic design, and the people who own the place were both a delight. I felt safe staying here in a country I’d never visited before, and I can’t say enough good things about the location. I’ve already told my group I want us to book this place again next year. Thank u girls

Only stayed two days, but the rooms were really clean and nice. There’s free Netflix, and it’s super close to the whole center. Even the bathrooms smelled really good. They’re awesome.

There’s a little shop across the street with everything you need, and the hotel itself is on a quiet street. The room had beautiful details, and it’s a wonderful new place. The owners were attentive and very friendly. Thanks for the hospitality.
