Hotel Suites La Siesta

The room had two large bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room, with an ocean view. The cleaning service was great. There's no AC, but I didn't need it when I visited in February. The location is perfect, though it's on a steep hill. The stairs up are easy, and you get great views. It's just a couple of blocks from the middle of the melarcon.

The view was lovely, and the staff were great. There’s a little kitchenette too, with a nice Mexican feel to the place.

I’d come back if they added AC. The staff were great, and the view over PV is lovely, but getting back up the long stairs is a workout unless you take a cab. There were fans, though they didn’t make sleeping easy in the July heat, and music carried on until 4am each night. I got a special room rate of $30, and with only three guests there, I had the pool to myself.

The room had a coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, and decent fridge, but not much for actually preparing a meal or cleaning up afterward. There were no washcloths, dish soap, or dish towels, and the old cutlery and dishes reminded me of my university lodgings from 40 years ago. We ended up drinking our morning coffee from glasses. We’ve stayed here before and expected dated accommodations, but I thought the rooms could be better equipped for $1600 pesos a night. Maybe that’s just what that price gets you in PV, or maybe I’m out of touch. It’s better than camping, though I hadn’t expected to need to bring kitchen supplies. Thanks if you read this far.
