Villa Celeste

The villa made our family wedding feel like a dream. We got married on the balcony by the pool, with the ocean in view, and there were so many lovely little corners for photos. It was just right for an intimate celebration, and we made memories we’ll keep for a long time. There was room for everyone to enjoy themselves, with a bathroom in each bedroom, two public restrooms, a pool with different depths, an outdoor pool table, plenty of seating, and even a hammock. We also booked manicures at the villa, which was easy to arrange and felt special out on the balcony overlooking the water. The setting is tucked on a quiet side street across from the ocean. Listening to the waves and watching the sunset each evening was lovely, and the romantic district and other tourist spots were still within reach. Pancho and Angel were so welcoming. Angel made wonderful Mexican meals, sometimes with little notice, and housekeeping cleaned the rooms each day. The beds and sheets were comfortable too. I wasn’t keen on the master bathroom shower. It’s a huge room with windows and no curtains, the water didn’t get very hot, and it felt chilly showering there. The hot tub also ran out of hot water and turned lukewarm. Those were small gripes beside such a great stay. The photos don’t quite capture how beautiful this place is. I’d happily stay again when we’re back in Puerto Vallarta.

The staff made this trip especially memorable. Pancho tracked down a case of my favorite Mexican craft beer, Ticus from Colima Brewery, and had it on ice at Villa Celeste within half an hour. Regina also spotted one of our guests trying to clean mole from his only pair of white pants with club soda. She took the garment and brought it back spotless and neatly pressed. Angel’s cooking was so good that our plans to show everyone PV’s restaurants faded quickly. We ate his made-to-order breakfasts, tortilla soup, authentic pazole, Caesar salad, Chateaubriand, rack of lamb with mint pesto, flan, and plenty more. We had cocktails, wine, guacamole snacks through the day, and coffee too. All that food came to about $25 to $28 USD per person per day, which felt like an incredible value. We ate beside the ocean with the waves rolling in and sunsets over the Bay of Banderas, with friends and family around us. I’ve been coming to Puerto Vallarta for over 15 years and usually favor Conchas Chinas. My wife, I, and four other couples had the best vacation we’ve ever had in the region. Villa Celeste sits right on Conchas Chinas Beach, with no walk and nobody in front of you, just the beach.

Our group of twenty fit easily in this huge villa. The public beach is a one-minute walk away, and La Playita, one of Conchas Chinas’ best restaurants, is close by. Beautiful place, with an excellent staff.

The setting is magnificent, and the villa itself is incredibly beautiful. It was outstanding in every way.
