I stayed in February 2025 for the first time, though my mom had visited several times before. It was a beautiful, comfortable, safe spot, and watching the boat launch area was entertaining. The location was really convenient, right next to a store and coffee shop. Raphael and his family were so kind. They’d caught seafood that morning and shared an incredible feast with us. It was a wonderfully mellow stay, the complete opposite of downtown Vallarta. I can’t wait to go back.

Rafa made our two-night stay feel special with his warmth and hospitality. We’d happily come back. Make time for the nearby stephanie’s bar, which is also Rafa’s business. The food was amazing, and the visit made for a memorable experience.

Rafael checked in with us daily, and fresh coffee and bread showed up each morning. The hotel has all the amenities we needed and an amazing view. On our first trip to Mexico, we were struck by how stunning it was and how welcome they made us feel in the Boca community. A must-stay for us. I’m bringing my kids next time. Thank you so much!

Boca is a lively little fishing village, with music in the evenings, families and kids out after dark, and dogs everywhere. We loved hearing the birds, roosters, and fishing pangas head from the river to the ocean in the morning. Light sleepers might want earplugs, though we enjoyed all the sounds. It felt safe and very family-oriented. We’d spent the previous two years doing all-inclusive resort trips to PV and Boca, so this year we tried something different. Our fishing and tour guide, Captain Mario Morgan with MarioTours, recommended Villa La Sirena. We’d heard about Mario through Barry Kesler's podcast Puerta Vallarta Travels. The one-bedroom villa was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Rafael, his son Leo, and their family dog Zacundo greeted us warmly. Rafael made the week run smoothly, joined us for dinner to tell us some history of Boca and the Villa, and even drove us to Mismaloya to use the ATM and get more pesos. Fresh-brewed coffee and pastries arrived at our door each morning, which made us feel spoiled. The route to the beach was an easy walk: down the stairs, across the cobblestone road, then along the river sidewalk for a minute or two. The villa had what we needed for relaxing at the beach, and the location had plenty of shops, a little market with yummy Frappes, taquerias, and about five beachside restaurants where we enjoyed every meal. Captain Mario made fresh ceviche on the boat, then arranged for our catch to be cooked on a restaurant's barbecue that night. Jerry and his daughter Brittany were wonderful owners and quick to respond, ready to help with whatever we needed and with planning another Boca vacation. We booked six nights and would gladly return. Thanks to them for sharing the villa, and to Rafael for a memorable week. Dios lo Bendiga!

The river and harbor view lets us watch everyday life in an authentic Mexican village, which is one of our favorite things about this place. We’ve stayed at Villa la Sirena three times and love this cute, tastefully decorated apartment. It has everything we need for a comfortable visit. Jerry is a fabulous host and communicator, and manager Rafael is always willing to go the extra mile. We’ll be back.
