I rarely write reviews, but my wife, who’s 40, became seriously ill and needed to be hospitalized. A stomach bug can happen anywhere, but only my wife and I got sick; our 13-year-old daughter was fine. She doesn’t eat seafood, and seafood was the only food my wife and I shared by ourselves. We also both had cocktails. We strongly suspect the seafood was to blame. The property is nice, but the area is remote. It takes a 40-minute drive to get anywhere outside the hotel, which doesn’t offer many amenities or much to do. If all you want is to sit quietly and read on the beach, it may suit you. I’d planned to use the spa but got sick, though it looked nice. The restaurant staff were great, as you’d expect with so few patrons. Most nights after 9 p.m., we were the only ones out.

The shared spaces, including the pool and bars, were stunning, and the food was exceptional. We came with friends for a 40th birthday trip and had a fantastic stay. I also highly recommend the spa. It was one of the best massages I’ve had!

From breakfast through poolside dining and dinner, the food was amazing. The accommodations were fantastic, especially the outdoor shower, and the surroundings were peaceful. Pablo, Adriana, Simon, Manuel, Fernando, and the rest of the team looked after us so well. It was such a relaxing stay. We’ll definitely come back!

We were headed to this beautiful resort for a wedding, but the road there is unbelievably rough. During our family vacation, one of us slipped on the very wet cement stairs in the rain. There are no railings at all. It happened on day two of our four-day stay, which put a damper on the whole trip. The resort helped us get medical care and paid for it, but that was the end of their support. The injured person hasn’t worked for two months and has had no income. The resort offered no further help. They started out responsive, but five weeks have passed without a reply. If you go, be careful not to get hurt, and watch out for those terrible stairs.

The hotel is lovely, but they never returned our $500 deposit. We tried contacting them for five months and got no response. This hotel is a scam.
