The suite was excellent and everything around the property felt well cared for. Sabrina and Carlos, our main contacts, were amazing, as were Omar and Ricardo. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We spent a week in a tranquil setting, and the property and beach were the highlights. The beach was beautiful and relaxing, with no seaweed on the hotel stretch. We could see remnants if we walked past the property, so the hotel clearly keeps its section clean. I’d have liked more food choices. The main restaurant was somewhat unimpressive, but it didn’t take away from the stay, and Woodend was quite good, especially the high-quality meat dishes. We’ll definitely plan to return.

Every staff member was friendly and accommodating, and Omar, our concierge, was delightful and very professional. My husband and I booked a last-minute escape from the Chicago cold, and the service at Belmond Maroma was exceptional, even compared with some of the nicest places we’ve stayed around the world. Our room was beautiful, and they managed to upgrade us despite being at high occupancy. We loved the restaurants and the fresh, delicious food. The amenities were wonderful, too. We had a massage one afternoon, and both the spa facilities and the massage therapists were excellent. A 10/10 stay, and we’ll be back.

We weren’t staying at the Belmond, but stopped in for a late lunch because we wanted to see the hotel and enjoy its view over one of the coast’s most beautiful beaches. Arturo was our waiter and made us feel completely comfortable. He shared lots of tips and knowledge about Mexican culture, and we had a great time talking with him over lunch. As visitors who weren’t hotel guests, we couldn’t use the facilities, including the sunbed or bar, which is understandable.

A lovely room, charming restaurants and bar, and a perfect location made this a great getaway. I’d suggest avoiding the original part of the property when choosing a room. The staff were excellent, and Bella, Francine, Caterina, Omar, Jorge, Axel, Rosario, Hugo, Rapha, and everyone else were wonderful.

What a wonderful place in the middle of riviera maya. This resort is a cozy, elegant spot for a relaxing holiday, and it could work for a wedding or a luxury vacation. The style is maxican, with a special spa and a maya-related feel. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, and the restaurant and staff were at an unexpectedly high level.
