Casa Mirador

Casa Mirador was clean and comfortable, with great food, solid A/C, and incredible views. The surf guides were helpful, enthusiastic, and flexible about our preferred schedule, and the 4x4s were rugged and well maintained. Cesar and the team at Salina Cruz Surf Tours made the trip fantastic, keeping things professional with booking, customer service, and airport transfers, while maintaining a fun, friendly, respectful atmosphere among everyone at camp. When a big swell was coming after my regular stay ended, Cesar went above and beyond to help me stay in SC. I'd recommend them 100% and will be back many times. Ernesto, our surf guide, was on it. He took us to lesser known spots that were empty except for our group. Maybe the smaller swell and end of season helped keep the crowds away, but every call he made was spot on and we had an awesome time. He even helped send my damaged board to Puerto Escondido for repair so I could enjoy it for the last two days of the trip. The place was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food was good. Finally, real quality service at a surf camp. Epic place, I'll definitely come back!

The rooms were very comfortable, with AC, good internet, and a great view, and the staff were friendly. Cesar and his team went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. I highly recommend Casa Mirador. Five stars!

For the area, about $150 a day is a budget price, and that includes all meals and transport to surf. The staff worked VERY hard to make my stay as good as possible, and the surf guides WERE AMAZING, full of energy and ready to take you wherever you want. We often scored epic waves all alone. The food was good, sometimes amazing, though portions felt medium for someone surfing all day. My room was hot and stuffy at night because its AC struggled to reach 78 degrees, although another room I stayed in got very cool. Plumbing was an issue too: the septic tank seemed very full, and there was some smell in the upstairs room. In another room, the toilet wouldn't flush for two days before it was fixed. If price matters most, this is your spot. I wouldn't have minded paying more for better conditions, and I imagine pricier places may have better food and working AC.
