The place looks authentic and nice, and the staff are friendly. There is no heating at all, though the shower has hot water and there are extra blankets for the beds. Our friends had booked a room for three people, but the staff initially refused to give them a third towel. They provided it only after being asked again.

My reservation had accidentally been entered for a date one year later than intended, in December 2026. I contacted them to ask about changing the dates and even offered to pay the difference if the room rate had changed. Their response was so slow that it seemed they were more interested in keeping my $70 for a booking that far off. Enjoy!

It's a nice hotel with a rustic theme, and the location is great, an easy walk to the central square. The restaurant's food is pretty good, and some of the employees are really good. I was told the pay is a misery. The problem is there's no noise suppression between rooms. You can hear people talking, doors slamming, and people in the courtyard. If you can sleep through that, or noise doesn't bother you, I think you'll like the place.

The rooms are comfortable and kept up well, and the staff were kind enough to arrange my ride to the airport. I liked the hotel's character, too. It's close to downtown San Cristobal de Las Casas, but set far enough from the busy streets to stay quiet.
