Hotel Provincia

It’s right in the middle of everything, which we loved. Our double room was a little small, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was great, the room was very clean, the shower was good, and there was a safe. There’s no air conditioning, though it gets cold at night and we managed fine. There’s no breakfast, and the restaurant looks a bit run down. In this city, we thought it made more sense to go out for coffee or breakfast anyway.

We were a group of 18 and all had a good stay. The hotel is central, clean, and the staff are friendly. There’s a bar across the street, but it didn’t keep us from getting a good night’s sleep. In the evening they had a warm drink for guests in the patio area, and the decor was so pretty. I’d stay again 😀

I could still hear the music blaring as I wrote this at almost 6 a.m., and I couldn’t sleep. The party goes on until around 8 a.m., so I wish I’d known what the area was like before booking. Our first room actually trembled from the bass of the club next door. I spoke to the front desk and was shown two other rooms. Both were still noisy, though one was a little better. The staff were really nice, and the location puts you right in the center of everything, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here because of the noise. I hadn’t realized Chiapas was party central.

The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is very good. The issue is the bar across the street, which makes a lot of noise at night.
