At $175 a night, they could do better. There’s no heat, just A/C, and January nights get chilly. They had a coffee machine but only Splenda, no sugar. I asked at the front desk and was told NO SUGAR. In a small town like San Felipe, it feels like another case of Fleecing the Gringo. I stayed here a few years ago, but this visit didn’t impress me. For $75 a night in the US, it’d be comparable to a Motel 6. I’ll try somewhere else next time.

The location, views, and easy access are what earn this hotel five stars from me. It was beautiful, right on a peaceful beach, with everything you could ask for. The rooms are nice and little, though they need some maintenance, nothing a normal person can’t handle. There’s a restaurant on site, but the food isn’t good and it’s very pricey. I highly recommend the hotel.

The ocean view rooms are great. It costs a bit more, but the bed and shower make it worthwhile.

The bungalows sit right on the beach, with little palapas to relax under. There’s a restaurant and bar on the property, both a bit pricey, but the food is very good. It’s a little expensive overall.

I always love staying here. The beach views are great, the rooms are cozy, and the on-site restaurant is great too.
