The biggest frustration was the pool chairs. People reserved them and left their stuff for hours without showing up, and the staff didn't enforce the policy guests sign at check-in. I had to be poolside by 8am to get a chair. It made the whole pool area feel stressful, which is the last thing you want on vacation. My room was hot too. The thermostat couldn't be adjusted, and maintenance said everything was fine and they couldn't take it below 21 degrees. That's too warm for Mexico, and I slept badly. There were good parts that would bring me back. The ocean-facing room was peaceful, with a breathtaking view, and I can't speak for rooms near the road. The food was good; poolside food was about what you'd expect, while the restaurant with an extra charge was truly worth it in my opinion. The room was comfortable and clean-ish, with snacks and some amenities. Room service breakfast arrived promptly and was generally accurate. It was a quiet resort, with most entertainment over by 10. Special shoutout to the poolside staff, who were working hard in the heat. Beautiful property, and I'd likely return, but some things need tightening up.

The spa was a highlight. We had a couples massage that may have been one of the best I've had. It was pricey, but worth it, and they brought tea and cookies to the relaxation room afterward. Room service was good too: we ordered a few times, the food was pretty good, and it usually came quickly. The grounds were lovely and well kept, with beautiful pools and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The beach was what we'd expected for Cabo: rough sand and not swimmable. It's a small hotel, so there isn't loads to see, but getting around was easy. People leaving belongings on pool chairs and then not using the seats was a problem; it was hard to find a good spot. We had a spacious, clean Junior Suite Ocean Front with a great balcony and views, plus a nice tub. I wouldn't call it ocean front, though, or any closer to the water than the regular rooms unless you upgrade to the Casitas. I liked the little closet by the front door with a hatch outside for dirty room-service dishes. Staff collected them each day, so they didn't have to sit in the hallway. Dining was hit or miss. Some meals were amazing and others average. I booked restaurant reservations ahead after reading reviews, which was a good call. On our first night we hadn't booked and hoped to use the buffet, but all restaurants were full and there wasn't a buffet to just walk up to. We ended up at the bar, which only had small plates. They sometimes had buffet events by the pool, but it wasn't always clear whether you could eat from them. There were only large round tables, so we had to share with strangers. Restaurant service could be slow. The coffee shop, open until early afternoon, was a nice place to get a good cup. If you want a quiet resort with nice grounds, this is a good choice.

The ocean views were breathtaking and easily one of the best parts of Marquis Los Cabos. Daytime service was excellent too, especially by the pool. Erick, Diego, and Sergio made those days wonderful. Dinner service, though, felt noticeably weaker. We had room issues as well: the main light and fan switched on by themselves in the middle of the night, and removing the key card that powered the lights was the only way we stopped it. The rooms weren't very soundproof; we heard highway traffic, people in the hall, and other rooms flushing. Breakfast was consistently great, and we loved having a coffee shop on site. Food elsewhere varied. Dos Mares had excellent ceviche and lunch service, but the pizzas felt like vegetables had just been thrown on. The Thanksgiving feast was great. We loved the drinks and food at Teppanyaki in Sakke, and our grill master was great. Vista Ballenas was decent, with excellent sea bass but disappointing appetizers. At Pergola, our Sunday, 11/30, reservation was for 7:30pm, but the tiramisu had run out by 8 even though dinner only starts at 7. The cannoli was fantastic. Desserts overall were disappointing: bland rice pudding, ginger cheesecake that mostly tasted like eggs, and cold churros. The best dessert was the pecan pie at Thanksgiving. Dinner reservations need work. We couldn't get into a couple of restaurants at all. Saving pool chairs was another frustration: you basically had to get up at 6am for a decent spot, while some chairs stayed claimed for hours without anyone arriving. In the last two days, mosquitoes and flies were everywhere, and I left with at least seven bites on my legs.

We had a wonderful stay at Marquis Los Cabos. The resort is kid-free, which was a bonus, and the staff made us feel welcome the whole time. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and kept spotless; we never found ourselves short of anything. There were lots of food choices, and everything we tried was fantastic. We loved it and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend for a relaxing, top-tier stay.

The views are what make Marquis Los Cabos stand out. Every room faces the water, with wide open Sea of Cortez panoramas. We got soft desert light over the sea in the morning and fiery sunsets in the evening, both from the terraces and infinity pools. The setting is dramatic, and the views are immaculate. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort also did well on food. Meals were consistently fresh, well prepared, and thoughtfully presented, better than the low expectations many people have for all-inclusive dining. The French restaurant was the exception: elegant setting, but the food fell flat next to the other options, and it wasn't worth the extra fee. We found seating at the pools and in common areas throughout our stay, which made the place feel calm rather than competitive. I don't know whether that was down to timing or is typical. There are some drawbacks: despite the secluded feel, highway noise carried into the rooms, especially during quiet times, and sometimes broke the sense of escape. The open bathroom layout also echoes and feels a bit public, something couples may want to consider if privacy matters. Some parts of the style feel dated. It's well maintained and beautiful, but not as contemporary as some newer Cabo resorts. I'd give the overall style 6.5 out of 10. For the price, though, the value is hard to argue with. The ocean views, solid all-inclusive food, peaceful grounds, and adults-only atmosphere make it a 9 out of 10 for value. This resort focuses on scenery, relaxation, and consistency rather than trend-led luxury. If you want spectacular ocean views, good dining, and a peaceful adults-only getaway without paying top-tier Cabo prices, Marquis Los Cabos is a compelling choice.
