Drift San Jose del Cabo, a Member of Design Hotels

The breakfast burritos alone are worth a visit, and Drift itself is spotless. My room was small but laid out efficiently, with a really comfortable bed. The hotel is a lovely sanctuary in the center of town, so it's easy to get around on foot. The staff were the highlight. Zay went above and beyond, even arranging a nearby beach club visit at a great discount. Alex shared lots of memorable local tips. I had a wonderful week and would definitely stay again.

We stayed five wonderful nights and loved how central the place is. We walked everywhere, and the beach was a 10-minute Uber ride away. The staff were amazing, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. I traveled with my partner, but it also seems like a great option for solo travelers, and felt very safe. We'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

We slept really well after a long trip. The room was small, but comfortable and nicely designed, and the central location was surprisingly quiet. The kitchen and bar were immaculate, and every staff member was warm and friendly. Beautiful and cozy, highly recommended.

The location was phenomenal for walking, and we had a nice one-night stay at Drift on the way to a work event in Cabo San Lucas. The property is modern, unique, and attractive, but some design choices don't seem practical and could be dangerous. The open shower looks cool, though water splashes everywhere. On the concrete floor it's easy to slip, and a warm shower leaves the whole room very moist. The little fountain and steps into the room are also nice to look at, but I can imagine a child falling in or someone missing a step after too many drinks. Bonvoy members should know late checkout isn't guaranteed here, as with all Design Hotels. I got a 1pm checkout even though I didn't see the room was booked on my departure date. Despite enjoying the night and the walkable location, I don't think I'll return, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with children because of the safety issues.
