Hotel Boutique Palomas

The noise was unbearable from the time we arrived Friday until we left Sunday, and it never let up. Music and other noise ran from 7:00 AM to 3:00 AM, and you could hear everything in the room. The hotel is right beside the main road, so there’s constant traffic noise. A disco on the terrace starts playing music at 8:00 AM, and the rental cars right outside are even louder. What a terrible place. It’s a shame, since it’s downtown and the women who work there are incredibly attentive. I included a video of the noise inside our room.

The room was very large and comfortable, but the TV is tiny, and I think the price is high for what they offer. Being right on the access road means some noise at night from passing trucks. The hot water is still an issue: they say it comes out, but it takes a very long time, wasting a lot of water. The rooftop restaurant was closed, so there was no noise from that area.

There’s air conditioning in the rooms, but in this hot weather they feel awful inside. You have to go to reception to ask for a fan.

It feels more like a roadside motel than a proper hotel, and there’s no coffee maker or bathroom ventilation. The terrace wasn’t open either. We asked reception to clear the shower drain since the water was pooling, which was pretty gross 🤢 Book ahead and don’t just settle for any place.
