Hotel Plaza Galindo

The place is new and clean, but the rooms and bathrooms are very cramped. It's a long way from the church, the walls let through sound, and Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms.

We arrived to find there was no room for us, despite booking through Booking.com a week earlier. They said they'd tried calling and messaging, but I never got anything. They offered no help with sorting it out, only said there was nothing else they could do. Really disrespectful. They need a better way to check reservations across their locations. The service was terrible.

The night worker was rude and treated us badly when we politely asked him to open the parking lot at 9:30 p.m. We were being quiet, but someone else might not put up with that arrogance. Guests aren't doing the hotel a favor by staying there, the customers are the reason it's there. There are lots of hotels in San Juan, so don't act like you're the only option. Hospitality should come first. I'd tell others to avoid this place if they don't want a bad time.

The heat was unbearable during my day and night there. There's no air conditioning, and I couldn't open the room's only window because it faced the street and the noise was awful, even with it shut. The place itself is nice, but I can't recommend it. The receptionist was rude when we checked in, and although there's a pool, we practically had to beg to use it. They also gave us a time limit, supposedly because it was reserved for someone else.
