Perla Central Hotel

Everyone at Hotel Perla was gracious, from the security staff and reception to the restaurant team. The people there were kind and helpful. The bed was really comfortable, and I slept well after a somewhat stressful afternoon. Muchas gracias!

bh is a great spot for young people, quiet and close to downtown. The tours the staff offer are fantastic, and the place has a super chill feel. The TV isn’t smart, and there’s no way to connect your own devices. You can’t adjust the AC because it’s preset. The hydro tub could be better, though it’s okay.

The hotel photos give a much better impression than the reality. The historic center location felt very sketchy, and I’d spend a few more bucks to stay somewhere better situated. The shower was awkwardly designed, so water spilled out every time and left a slippery mess. Once the bus starts in the morning, it’s so noisy that sleeping past 8am is a struggle. The front desk staff were incredibly rude, and they overcharged me for an extra night after their own mistake caused the confusion. I’d never stay here again and would tell people to think twice. The restaurant breakfast was some of the worst I’ve ever had.

The location is pretty good, though it takes a while to walk to the main area. I docked two stars because of a terrible smell from the shower drain. I told the front desk and they sent someone, but the odor stayed. I’d also avoid the restaurant food: my omelette had a small rock in it. I reported that too, and later I got sick to my stomach.
