Bellwort Hotel

The room was huge, clean, and comfortable, and the balcony practically doubled its size. The reception person was nice and helpful. I’d come back for the balcony and bedroom, even though the bathroom setup means you can be right by the toilet while your partner uses it. The vertical bars separating it from the sleeping area are also the bed's headboard, so leaving the bathroom door open puts you close to the whole experience. There’s one hook for two people's towels, and nowhere else to put a towel or clean clothes after showering except the floor. It feels like the hook was added as an afterthought. The room is very dark, and if you drop something you may need your phone torch. There aren't enough power outlets, especially by the desk. The room phone has no directory, so I had to go downstairs to reach reception. Check-in is made more complicated by a silly self-service computer that still needs reception's help. There’s only one key, and you have to leave it if you want the room cleaned. Those trendy touches come at the expense of basic hospitality. Still, I'd stay again.

A great place to stay in beautiful Guadalajara. Sharing a room with someone makes the old-fashioned key setup especially impractical, since they give you only one key. That's our only complaint.

I loved relaxing by the pool, especially with the great music. The beds are really comfortable, and there are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I'll stay here again.

The rooms are spacious and modern, and the hotel is in a safe part of Guadalajara. The staff were friendly, nice, and professional. Still, there was a constant drain smell in the rooms, pool area, and lobby. The toilet clogged easily since toilet paper isn't meant to be flushed. Breakfast options were disappointing, and the AC didn't cool the room properly.
