Casa Ixtapan

At Hotel Casa Ixtapan in Ixtapan de la Sal, the food stood out, from the excellent cuisine to the flavorful, high-quality breakfasts. The whole place was immaculate and orderly. Staff were attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the atmosphere was comfortable and peaceful, just right for resting. Everything was excellent, including the service, cleanliness, comfort, and food. A highly recommended spot for an enjoyable, memorable stay.

My husband and I only ended up there for breakfast, thankfully we didn't stay. The waitress treated us well, but the food was a letdown. The meat smelled rotten and seemed spoiled, the coffee was weak, the bread was awful, and the fruit was a joke. We left our plates untouched, paid, and went elsewhere. I won't return for their “signature cuisine.” What a disappointment.

It's very central, just a few meters from the Ixtapan water park, and parking is available. The rooms and pool were clean, though the pool water was cold. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the food I tried was good and fairly priced. Drinks cost about what you'd expect at a restaurant, depending on your order. Everyone was friendly and the service was very good. I'd give it a 9, except the room's hot water takes a long time to arrive. I assume that's because the energy-efficient heater takes a while to warm it up.

The pool was beautiful, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly, and I especially appreciated how clean everything was at Casa Ixtapan. Thanks for everything, I'll be back soon!
