Comfort Inn San Luis Potosi

It's a good-value stop if you're passing through town. The Comfort Inn is a bit away from San Luis' historic center, which makes it cheaper than many similar hotels. Rooms are small, but very clean, and the beds are really comfortable. The staff were friendly and the service was great. I'd happily stay again next time I'm passing through.

Comfortina was my favorite part of the stay. She's the hotel's dog, and they let her hang out in the lobby. I love that the people there took in a stray and gave her a home. She was so sweet and smart, and I think more hotels in SLP should do that, at least for animal lovers. The family suite was spacious for me, my husband, and our teenage son, and it was very clean. Prices were great and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast buffet wasn't as good as it was when we stayed in 2016, but everything else was outstanding. Thank you!

The staff were so kind and went out of their way to help us more than once. I'd come back just for them. Our rooms were clean and as expected, and we brought both our 100-pound dog and 4-pound dog. The 1,500-peso damage deposit was refunded; the two pet fees were 250 pesos each and non-refundable. There was a dog pee area in the parking lot, which was handy. Parking worked out for our Ram 1500 and 16-foot cargo trailer, though it took some serious reversing. We left the trailer unhooked in one spot and parked the truck beside it. The free Mexican-style breakfast included good juice, delicious chicken, sweets, fruit, yogurt, and granola. Great stay.

After a long drive and failing to find a decent room in matehuala, I found this place on Google and called at 3 a.m. A very polite woman listened to how frustrated and stuck we were, then said she'd have two rooms ready for my exhausted family and me. Check-in was quick when we arrived, and they even took my keys and parked the vehicle in their gated lot. In the morning she returned the keys, showed us the breakfast area, and looked after us. I'd recommend this hotel and hope to see them again in December 2024. Thanks.
