The house is lovely, with superb decor, and it's very clean. Getting there was a real hassle, though. Our taxi spent about an hour trying to find it. Privacy is limited: you can hear the neighboring rooms and see people outside. The jacuzzi sits under a skylight where guests in the upstairs rooms can see it. There's no food service.

It's a beautiful house, and I definitely enjoyed my stay. The price isn't low, but I highly recommend it for a weekend in San Miguel. You can walk to the center in about 15 minutes.

I can't really review the hotel itself, since my brother never got to stay there. I'd booked it for his honeymoon six months ahead, but when he arrived, the owner said there was no reservation and wouldn't honor bookings made online through intermediaries. I can only suppose she may not honor them in December because foreign tourists pay more then. To me, the way this was handled says a lot about her professionalism.

The place is lovely, comfortable, and discreet, but the price is high. It's also hard to get to.
