We took an early-morning hot air balloon flight, which I’d definitely recommend, and the hotel management was friendly and knew the area well. The hotel itself is a gorgeous boutique place, with wonderful service and historic details throughout the building. Its rooftop view of the cathedral is unmatched, and the central square is an easy walk away. A great spot to soak up Mexico’s history. For us, it was the best place to stay in San Miguel.

We had the penthouse at Casa Florida for a weekend, and the room and service were both great. From the rooftop terrace you can see almost the entire city, the view is unbelievable. At check-in they offer a complimentary glass of wine. We got chatting with the manager Steve, and he ended up giving us a complimentary bottle instead. I can’t recommend the hotel enough.

Right in the center, with everything within walking distance, this cute rustic luxury boutique hotel is also affordable. The staff are friendly, too. I love this place in enchanting San Miguel de Allende, and I’ll definitely come back.
