We were a group of 12 and felt comfortable coming and going from the hotel. We got around on foot or in taxis, which were easy to find and reasonably priced. The rooms were very good and thoughtfully laid out, many with views. The rooftop patio also looks out over the sprawling town. I didn’t try the café, though plenty of people seemed to be enjoying the food.

The people here were wonderful and very helpful, and there’s a nice little café too. I’m glad I came across this lovely hotel. It’s a little up the hill but easy to get to, and I’ll definitely stay again.

The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the place seemed well managed. The architecture was lovely, the beds and linens were comfortable, and everything was *very* clean. Breakfast went beyond a basic continental spread, with plenty to get the day started. I was surprised by the range of restaurants within a 12-minute walk. The route through the neighborhood past a park and a luxury hotel was nice, too. I chose the hotel for its looks, private parking, and value, and the room, breakfast, and location all exceeded my expectations. I split my trip between a resort for three days and this hotel for two after extending my stay, which worked well for me. If I came often, I’d definitely use it as a home base.

I liked the staff, the homemade granola at breakfast, and the nice rooftop next door. The breakfast was adequate, and it’s an intimate little place, though it could use some maturing. The rooms are sparse and lacked things I expected, including drinking glasses, another washcloth, tissues, and a chair. The bedside lamps were too dim for reading, and there’s no elevator. When an ice storm in Dallas canceled our flight, we called the hotel right away. On arrival, we found out they wouldn’t refund the missed night, even though the website said a full refund.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The location is hard to reach, the rooms were in poor condition and felt unsanitary and hazardous, and breakfast was a joke. Only two women run the place and handle everything, so of course they’re overwhelmed.
