The huevos rancheros were the best, and we loved our king bungalow. It was private, really spacious, and looked out over the pool. The main square is about a 15-minute walk. Highly recommend.

The Mercado next door has dozens of stores, and the hotel is close to everything. It’s a family-run place, with super clean rooms, cotton linens, and very, very kind employees. They even include a gourmet breakfast. Five-star service. If I come back to San Miguel de Allende, I’m staying here. 💯💯💯

The dining room is filled with art, and breakfast there was wonderful, with delicious food. The grounds are lovely, quiet, and private, with a couple of sweet cats lounging around. We stayed four nights in a multi-room suite, and our group had four separate bookings, two suites and two rooms. All the rooms were beautiful. My suite only had A/C in the bedrooms, which was totally fine for us, though I can see that being a deal breaker for some. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location worked well for walking to many hot spots, and getting a cab or Uber was easy. No complaints, and I’d love to stay at Casa de la O again.
