Hotel Quinta Loreto

We ate outside, which was lovely, and the meal was amazing and very affordable. We had red enchiladas with queso and queso chili rellenos, and both were fantastic. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Quinta Loreto has an old-fashioned feel and is a little run down, with old towels, though everything was clean. What I love is the big, welcoming garden, plenty of parking, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly, all in a great location.

The rooms were huge, and ours had a balcony and a good shower. I liked the garden with all its plants, and the hotel itself is laid out pretty well. There’s a pool too, though the water was dirty at the end of October, so I think they only use it in summer. My main concern was the old safe and electrical installations. They should update those for guests’ safety.

We only stopped in for lunch, not an overnight stay. The food seemed homemade and tasted good, and there was a generous amount for the low price. Service took a while, but this is Mexico, so settle in and relax. It’s a nice spot for local, no-frills food.
