Krystal Grand San Miguel

Three people in our group had about a thousand dollars stolen during our stay. It really affected how we felt about the hotel, so I think other potential guests should know. I’d advise being cautious if you’re considering staying here.

The staff tried to help, but there weren’t enough of them to manage all those apartments and villas, and they didn’t seem equipped to handle it. The service was very, very bad. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back.

The employees made a genuine effort to welcome us, and the service was really good. It’s also well located, about 10 minutes from San Miguel downtown, near several vineyards, and there’s self parking.

The place itself is beautiful, which makes the poor service all the more disappointing. When I arrived, they couldn’t find the payment I’d already made through their website and tried to charge me again. I refused, and after they looked into it, my confirmation and payment emails helped sort that out. Then they said I owed a deposit, and later demanded 600 pesos per night for my pet. The booking information only called the property “pet friendly” and never mentioned a fee. The staff need training in how to deal with guests.
