La Valise San Miguel de Allende, Member of Small Luxury Hotels

We chose La Valise instead of the hotel where the wedding party was staying, and we were so glad we did. The staff, including Nico, Marco, Luis and housekeeping, were fantastic. They welcomed us with a package in the room, shared the hotel's history, cleaned our room twice a day, and kept it stocked with coffee and drinks, including wine, beer and liquor. Breakfast was amazing, and Nico was especially attentive. Our room was huge, and I think it was the smallest one there. There are no TVs, which suited us perfectly, and the Wi-Fi is free. The location was great, within walking distance of the central park and the wedding we were attending. We're definitely planning to return to San Miguel de Allende and stay at La Valise again. Thanks to the staff for making it memorable, see you soon. While checking in, we saw a group come in to take photos and recognized the bride from the wedding. She was surprised to see us. The staff said they had called earlier to ask about doing a photo shoot at the hotel. That says a lot about the property.

We stayed in the Aura suite and loved it, especially the little patio where we sat with a glass of wine. The bathtub was always full of leaves, so we didn't use it. The beds and rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. Marco, Luis and Nico were incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay just right. It's a wonderful little boutique hotel right in the center. You can't go wrong here!

The staff are why I loved my week at La Valise during a Spanish Immersion program. Nicholas, Luis and Mirella know everyone's names and what they like to eat and drink, and they take such good care of their guests. The location was great, and I loved all their suggestions. The kind, thoughtful staff made us feel completely at home, and I can't wait to come back. In my humble opinion, this is the best hotel in Mexico. It's incredibly beautiful, and our Master Suite was literally a work of art while still feeling relaxing and comfortable. The bathroom was unforgettable.
