This spacious resort in town has comfortable rooms and a nice pool. It's within walking distance of the old town.

The rooms are small, which makes sense for a convent, and have named religious artifacts like statues and paintings. The building is a beautiful old converted convent, though I still haven't learned how old it is. The grounds are lovely too. Breakfast is buffet-style and not included, but it's reasonably priced at about $10 USD as of this posting. There is no food service after hours. The hotel is only a few blocks from the main square, close enough to walk but far enough that you don't hear the crowd noise. Highly recommend it. Q!

It's a shame that the inside feels run-down. The rooms are old, badly decorated, and poorly lit, even though the property and gardens are gorgeous. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well located within San Miguel. There's a gym inside, but you have to pay to use it.

For the price and location, this was a five-star stay. We were here for a wedding at the instituto across the street, and most of the places we wanted to reach were a 10-20 minute walk away. The front courtyard is absolutely beautiful. I wish they had live entertainment there so guests could enjoy it more. The pool was clean and tucked away, and our room was very clean too. A/C and hot water worked great. It covered everything we needed at an affordable price for the area.
