Sollano 34

We loved the rooftop view and all the windows, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was immaculate, with a full kitchen and every amenity we could think of. Staff were around during the day whenever we needed them. Casa Sollano 34 is centrally located, and you can walk almost anywhere in 10 minutes or less. The rooms are also very quiet at night. I don’t think you’ll find a nicer place to stay in San Miguel for the price. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend giving it a look.

The people are a huge part of what makes Sollano 34 special. We had several relaxed conversations with the owners and housekeeper, and they were genuinely kind, with our comfort and interests clearly in mind. Next time we’re in SMA, this is the only place we’ll stay. We were there for Dia de Los Muertos 2018 and the location was perfect. Parque Benito Juarez is one block south, and the city center (el Centro) is two blocks north, surrounded by sights, sounds, and restaurants. Markets, galleries, and plenty more are walkable, and taxis are easy if you do need to go farther. No car needed. The five rooms were amazing, thoughtfully put together like a home and detailed down to the last touch. The photos are lovely, but the real place is even better. Each unit has tons of space and a good-sized kitchen, with hand-carved cabinetry. There’s ambient lighting throughout the hotel, lovely shared areas, and an unbelievable terrace just for guests with the best view in town. Everything was immaculate, including all three rooms we used and the other two we got to see. The place feels safe and secure, the climate control works well, and the purified water has good pressure. The automatic lighting throughout is a nice touch. You will NOT be disappointed!
