The customer service was excellent, and the backyard was beautiful, with a lovely pool and a big grassy lawn that seemed perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Our room was spacious, but we still had an uncomfortable stay. The Dolores room was so noisy that we were exhausted after three nights. Whenever a car went by, the walls shook, and we could hear everything outside. The skylights let in full light around 6am, and there was no heat, even though the nights got down to around 40 degrees. All three of us were cold every night. There was a small fireplace, but it only added atmosphere, not warmth. It also left our clothes and belongings smelling strongly of smoke, so everything needed professional cleaning afterward. I can't speak for the other rooms, but if getting real rest and sleeping well matters to you, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I also found it unsettling that birds were kept in very small cages on the property.

The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and the location was superb: close enough to walk to the city center and many attractions, but tucked away from the busier parts of town. Our room was charming and comfortable, with a wood burning fireplace that the staff lit for us on our last night. We had coffee at the bar every morning and a delicious breakfast before checking out. The friendly staff took care of us throughout the stay. The only thing we missed was getting time to enjoy the pool. We couldn't have hoped for a lovelier place to spend a few days in San Miguel de Allende. We highly recommend it and will definitely return!

The park is right across the street, and the main sights and restaurants are an easy walk away. I also loved the courtyard, the lovely rooms, and how fantastic every employee was. It’s a historic little hotel with top-notch service.

The customer service was great, but I couldn’t sleep on any of our three nights because the room was extremely noisy. It also got down to 40 degrees at night, and the only heat was a fire pit in the room, which left everyone’s clothes smelling smoky. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s a cozy, quiet place that felt perfect for a romantic getaway. Our room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, and the staff were polite, professional, and friendly. Downtown is only about a six-minute walk away.
