The rooftop deck and pool have a view of the ocean, and the hotel is just a block from the water, right in the heart of Cozumel. Tom, the owner, was around and great to talk with. Oscar handled check-in, checkout and breakfast orders. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every day, made to order. Staff were super friendly, and the quiet, safe neighborhood has no loud music or clubs nearby. There are plenty of tasty restaurants around the corner. Check it out when you’re in Cozumel.

There were only three people working at this 17-room place with semi-suites and full suites: Caroline, who cooked and cleaned; Oscar, who handled check-in and helped out; and Tom, the owner. We didn’t mind, though I can see they need more help. We really liked this quaint boutique hotel. It has lots of charm, and being right downtown for five days was great. Our semi-suite had a mini-fridge and seating inside and on the small balcony. The bathroom was lovely, the hot water was strong, and the king bed and pillows were really comfortable. We enjoy Cozumel so much. We’ll be back!

Breakfast was cooked to order for $6, and it was great. We had it almost every morning. The pool and rooftop were lovely, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for seven days and loved it: clean, comfortable and safe, and very central. As two female travelers, we felt completely safe. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back!

Great food options are right on the street, and maple bakehouse next door became our go-to breakfast spot. The location was perfect for a scuba trip with my sister. Our room was clean, had AC, and the noise was controlled at night. We’d stay again and recommend it to friends.

I stayed at Flamingo in 2021 and it was fantastic. I came back in 2026 to find it refurbished, and now it’s even better. Skip the resorts and enjoy the comfort and hospitality right in the middle of San Miguel. It’s near shopping, restaurants and fun. Whether you’re in Cozumel to scuba dive or just enjoy the best island in the Caribbean, Flamingo is the place to stay!
