The location is fantastic, with great restaurants next door and easy beach access from our room. But the beds are rock hard, and the rooms look a little dated beside the hotel next door. Towels are limited to one per person, the restroom needs to be flushed before use, and most rooms don't have an ocean view.
We found a small ground-floor room without booking ahead. It was basic, nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. The service was great, with staff always available and helpful. The open area goes right out to the beach, so getting to the ocean for a swim was easy. It was a good stay.
The ocean view and being so close to the water were wonderful, but the room had issues. The beds were rock hard, and there were only three towels, with no facecloths or hand towels. The kitchenette was actually a shared kitchen, and if your room is near the pool, food-related noise starts at 7:00 am. Cleanliness was hit or miss, with corners, the bathroom sink, and shower needing attention, though they did make up the room every day. It's an older hotel that seems to have had little upkeep or renovation for quite a while. No coffee was provided, and the advertised fresh fruit was only there for guests to buy and cut themselves. We did, lol. It was an adventure.
The ocean view was beautiful, and the pool was refreshing. I loved the friendly, attentive staff and the community feel, complete with smiles. I had a lovely stay and hope to be back next year. Thank you!
Don't go here. It was a bad experience, and they argue with you over the “towels,” if you can even call them that. They were more like shredded dishcloths, and the place was way overpriced. I'm never going back. For the same money, do yourself a favor and get a better hotel 10 minutes away in Cuastecomates.
