Hotel y Bungalows Bugambilias

The building was still under construction, and the construction and dusty roads left everything covered in dust. There wasn’t a good common area, and smoke from people smoking next to the rooms drifted into ours. Our room at the back felt depressing. It seemed like the family might be living upstairs, where it looked fresh and airy and may have had an ocean view, while guests got the bad side of the building. The kitchenware hadn’t been washed. There was a cockroach in one of the pans, so I had to thoroughly wash all the plates and pods. The coffee machine was unreasonably dirty. The bed sheets didn’t look very clean, mostly because, like many hotels nowadays, they use only a sheet and don’t even cover the blanket. The toilet was clogged, and they came to help immediately when we asked. But they took the tool out of the room dripping that nasty water all over the floor. Hygiene obviously isn’t in their dictionary.

We’ve really enjoyed our stay. It’s two blocks from the beach, in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and the owners go out of their way to make guests comfortable and take care of what they need. Vera and Mitch
