Staybridge Suites Monterrey - San Pedro by IHG

I was extremely embarrassed in front of my Spanish teacher, and I'll recommend that my organization stop putting people here. I had reserved the conference room at the front desk last week for my Spanish classes, from 8am to 12pm today. When my teacher arrived and we asked to use it, a different front desk employee said a guest from Brazil was more important because he'd been staying longer, and could kick me out whenever he wanted to use the room. The front desk had made the reservation directly and even confirmed it by calling my room. I don't know if this was some kind of corruption favoring certain guests, but at minimum it was unprofessional. Also, when I pulled open the silverware drawer in my room to get a spoon, its entire front came off, with the nails exposed.

The hotel is quiet at night, and the pool is good if you're bringing kids. Rooms are big and it's in a great location, so it's a solid choice for San Pedro, though some minor updates would help. Our main problem was the WiFi, which needs improvement for business use.

Really loved this place. The service was excellent, it was quiet, and everything was good.

A nice apartment-style hotel with lots of room, including a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. It suits longer stays well, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's no restaurant, but you can order from several nearby places and have the charge added to your room. The area feels safe, trendy and pleasant. On Sundays, the San Pedro market is right around the corner.
