The room didn't feel up to the Marriott standard I've come to expect from my travels around the world. Some light switches didn't work, and there was mold growing in the shower. The staff were friendly, though only about half the front desk agents I dealt with spoke English. Even the hotel shuttle driver spoke better English than many of them, but my basic Spanish was enough. This was my first experience with the City Express brand. I won't stay at this City Express again, though I hope future properties are better. I don't see how this place has a four-star rating. It should be listed as three stars at most.

The rooms were beautiful, and the service was great. Diego was kind and very helpful.

I ended up sleeping in my car because the noise from the room above kept going from 9 pm until 12:40 am. I called reception around 11, and someone came to check, even stepping into my room to listen. He left, but no one from reception followed up. The party-like noise carried on, and when I went downstairs they offered no other solution. No room change or refund was offered.

The place itself was clean, secure and comfortable, but getting a response from staff was slow, and they don't speak multiple languages. The phone system had also been down for three days. And the kitchen faucet sprays water onto the counter. There were no washcloths either.

It's a decent spot for a short stay, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The pool was practically a hot spring, lol, so maybe it would be nice in winter. I had trouble arranging the shuttle because my Spanish is poor and staff didn't seem to speak English. As it turned out, they don't actually offer a shuttle.
