Hotel Boutique Casa Loreta

The location is the real draw. Right in downtown, the hotel has colonial architecture and an incredible balcony view, and every downtown Querétaro attraction is about a 10-minute walk away. The rooms were good, though the beds felt too firm to me. The pool is basically a tiny water-filled hole, maybe suitable for two kids. I can’t see adults swimming there, so it feels more like decoration. Service was a mess. The woman at the front desk took 45 minutes, then wouldn’t give us an extra room even though we were willing to pay for three instead of two. We ended up sharing beds and sorting things out ourselves. We later learned there were rooms available. It seemed like she assumed we couldn’t afford a room that cost $200 pesos more than what we were paying. She also didn’t know the WiFi password and couldn’t get the card payment right. The bathroom was awful. The shower gel had no scent, the conditioner was watered down, and the tubes weren’t fully stocked, which made it hard for three people sharing to get cleaned up. The shower was too low and the pressure too strong, with a sharp jet that felt like it was poking the top of my head. The bathrooms need better supplies, towels, and cleaning products. We’d stayed at hotels across the street before, and for $500 pesos more their rooms and bathrooms were much better stocked, with L’occitane products.

The balcony view is phenomenal, with beautiful city views and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The pool is also a nice spot to hang out. Everything is within walking distance, and walking is a good idea since parking is scarce and there are so many scenic things to see around town. Great service, location, and price made for a really pleasant Querétaro stay. I’d say it’s one of the best hotels in the area, and I’ll come back.

We had a great stay and will definitely return. They helped arrange our rides to and from the airport and greeted us every day. That kind of attention felt really refreshing. 10/10.

Breakfast, served at the hotel next door, was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room in this lovely hotel in the centre of Queretaro was spacious and very clean. The bed was super comfortable too. Highly recommended!
