Hotel Casa de las Piedras

It’s a small, simple, comfortable place, and it was quiet. The staff are really friendly and attentive. If you just need an inexpensive self-catering place to spend the night, I’d recommend it. The entrance is through a doorway, though, so if you arrive very late, you’ll have to call the doorman.

There was just one towel, the bathroom doors didn’t work, and, worst of all, the room had bedbugs, which pose a risk of infection. The price also didn’t match what the website showed. I was charged 700 for a basic room with bedbugs.

I only stayed one night because it was close to the city center. The room was about 3x3 meters including the bathroom, with just one single bed and no chair, though a girl could fit on it. It cost $500. The place felt very small and neglected and needed cleaning: there was dust on the floor, and the sheet had oil stains. The receptionist kindly changed the sheet for me. The towel was very worn, luckily I always bring my own.

The location and price were good, but the staff seemed really apathetic. They didn't even greet us in the morning, and the place gave me the impression it was dirty. I wouldn't come back.
