Hotel México Plaza Querétaro

Very clean and pleasant.

A friend and I stayed here the weekend of October 25th for the Pulso GNP festival. Reception was attentive and friendly the whole time. It was a busy day, and they asked us to wait but kindly gave us water and sandwiches while we did. Breakfast was delicious, and the room had everything we needed and was just the right size. There was even a small single mattress alongside the king-size bed, so we each slept on one and were comfortable. The only awkward thing was the sliding bathroom door. The price was good and the location easy to get to. Thanks to the receptionist, whose name I can’t remember, but he had light skin and hair, for taking such good care of us. I’d happily stay again and recommend the hotel.

We were moved from our second-floor room to the sixth at 2 a.m., but the party music was still shaking the floor and impossible to sleep through. It finally stopped at 2:30, then drunk guests kept shouting until after 3. No one mentioned the party when I checked in on Saturday, December 13th. The next morning, I found bed bugs. My family and I paid for a room where we couldn't sleep, and it wasn't worth the money at all. If I'd known there'd be a party, I wouldn't have picked this hotel.

I paid in full and let them know I'd arrive later than the usual check-in time. They said that was fine, but when I got there, every room was booked and they wouldn't honor my reservation. Then they wouldn't refund me immediately, and I have to wait five days, assuming the refund even comes through. At 2 a.m. on a busy weekend with a major event in the state, I was left without a place to stay. I couldn't find another hotel, so I had to drive back to my state at that hour. Their lack of organization and care was irresponsible. I wouldn't recommend booking here if you want to avoid a bad time.
