I'm in the area for work, and I'm impressed enough to look into whether there are enough things nearby that interest me for a vacation, with las Palomas as my base. I fly to over 40 places a year, so I've seen plenty of real guano holes. The hotel has fantastic service, and they speak enough English to make things comfortable if you don't speak Spanish. The rooms are well appointed and have AIR CONDITIONING. When my TV had a problem, maintenance came right away and fixed it. The restaurant serves good food, and hard alcohol is available. It's right by the town square, with lots of restaurants and small shops, and a beautiful church overlooking the hill.

The Asado de Puerco was full of flavor and cooked just right. I also tried the Rio Mezcal mixed drink, which was incredibly delicious, with the flavors balanced perfectly. Benjamin gave us great service at Las Palomas Restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food was more than delicious, and the drinks and service were all 100%! We had the Mexican dishes tampiqieña and chicharrón en salsa, and everything was really tasty. Aureliano was a very nice, polite waitress. Harley recommended! 🤗🥰

The place is beautiful, and the food was really good. We waited about an hour for our food after ordering, no joke. The restaurant was huge and packed, especially since we went on a weekend, so I understand the wait. I'd still highly recommend it.

We ordered the pork shank, fried ribeye, cauliflower, and mushrooms, and it was all to die for. Dago served us, the service was fantastic, and there was live music too. I definitely want to come back. OMG, food orgasms!
