Amaia Boutique Hotel

The rooms were nice and the location puts you right in the middle of the action, but expect some weekend noise. There's no parking, and service is minimal. They do have a shared refrigerator and microwave in the hallway. All in all, it was good.

After the first night I moved to a hotel across town, which doubled my costs, but I couldn't put up with the noise and smell. The walls were paper thin, and the room had an awful musty, moldy odor. There was also a large, loud club directly above the hotel, and I only learned about it from a notice after booking. The music went on until late morning and affected every part of the stay. I should have done more research myself, but a hotel owning a nightclub that blasts music like that feels almost criminal. The no-refund policy left a bad taste, and the staff at amaia were lovely, but that didn't make up for the other problems. Avoid Amaia.

We picked this place for the lively atmosphere and great location, and it was lovely, though there was some late-night noise. That was fine for us, but it might bother you if you want complete peace and quiet. The courtyard and pool are beautiful and quaint, and the rooms had just what we needed. Such a little paradise :)

The courtyard is lush and beautiful, the property was clean, and our room felt luxurious and comfortable. Ara was great at communicating ahead of time and helping arrange transportation and other details. Once we arrived, Ara and the kind housekeeping team kept checking in with our group to make sure everything was going well. I thought the place would be nice, but staying there made me recommend it even more. I'd come back in a heartbeat, whether traveling alone, with a partner, or with a group.
