Hotel Puerto Sayulita

We spent lots of time by the stunning rooftop pool, and the staff were super friendly. The beds and pillows were very comfy, and the room had everything we needed. It's away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to reach everything on foot. Loved staying here!

We spent a week at Puerto Sayulita and found the hotel quiet and very clean. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had a nice balcony with seating. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's easy to walk to both the town center and the beach, and there are several supermarkets and places to eat nearby. We especially liked spending late afternoons on the roof by the pool and lounge area.

We used to come here a lot and really loved it, but it seems like there's new management now. The complex is noisy and it's hard to get proper rest. The cleaning crew starts as early as 6:00 a.m., shouting to each other, whistling, and dusting heavily in the hallways. Other staff are loud too, and the front desk phones just ring and ring because nobody's there to answer. They've also replaced the amenities with much cheaper versions: shampoo, conditioner, soap, and even toilet paper, which is now gas-station quality and handed out one sheet at a time. The pool used to be heated, but it isn't anymore. Sound insulation in the rooms is poor, so you hear the street and neighbors in the back area. At this point, the main thing going for it is the location. The beach and plenty of restaurants are within walking distance, with restaurants right outside the building.

The room had great AC, and the staff were friendly. It was about a 9-minute walk to downtown, and the pool was kept clean. The shower water never got properly hot, though it wasn't completely cold either.
