I canceled well ahead of time after finding a better deal at another hotel down the street, and the cancellation policy said I qualified for a full refund. They still kept $25 USD as a “processing charge,” though that fee wasn’t mentioned in the policy I received when booking. I emailed the property to ask for the money back and got no response. The customer service was terrible, and the way they handled this felt despicable and malicious. I won’t stay here in the future.

Our family of four had the two-room apartment, which made the stay fun. It had two bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, and two pleasant patios. The upper one looked out to the ocean. The manager, Sabrina, helped us get settled, and a tenant who lives on site is around if you need anything. The rooms have more character than a typical hotel room. It’s a nice mix of a quieter setting and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. We were there in August, when it was very hot, and cooling off in the small pool was a relief. There’s also a large hot tub that can be kept cold during the hot season, plus an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Free beach towels, umbrellas, and bikes are available. The umbrella was especially useful, since we could sit in the shade at the beach without renting a table. At night we could hear plenty of tropical wildlife, including insects and birds.

The rooms were spotless and the service was great. The pools are heated, though small, and it seems like a good choice for a small group. It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach and restaurants. We loved staying here and would definitely return if we get the chance.

Getting help with anything during the stay was a different story. Replies and follow-up were very slow, if they came at all. The AC was weak, and the remote was basically broken. Its screen wouldn’t work unless I held it a certain way and pressed the buttons, so turning the unit on or off took trial and error. Would I stay again? Maybe.
