Hotel Poza Rica

The location is convenient, close to the center and near food and entertainment. The rooms are a different story: there’s no proper ventilation, so they have a really unpleasant musty smell. The TV never came on. We told the manager, but she just kept saying she’d look into it. It’s inexpensive, but I wouldn’t choose it for a stay longer than one day.

The staff and service were excellent, but the facilities need more maintenance. I can’t speak for the other rooms, but ours was very humid. It’s near the center, though hard to find, and I wouldn’t recommend it for families. There was no hot water, and the shower water ran into the room.

I’ve stayed at the Hotel Poza Rica for years and have never had a bad experience. I’m here right now, and the service is excellent. They had our rooms ready on time when we arrived, and there’s a card terminal, which suits me since I always pay by card. I have no complaints about the hotel or the staff, and everyone I’ve brought along has been satisfied. There are plenty of pros and cons.

Please don’t stay here, it’s dangerous. The rooms have no locks, and the bathrooms look like prison cells.
