We booked through Expedia, and the service when we checked in was amazing. My friends and I were the only guests, which made us a little nervous, but the night stayed calm. It’s somewhat tucked away and a bit far from el centro. The themed rooms are super cute, with chimneys, and there’s no TV, so it feels like a cabin. Breakfast came with the booking and was amazingly good. We really loved how warm and caring the staff were.

The included breakfast was great, and the cook was especially kind about our dietary restrictions. They were accommodating, too. The hotel has a cute mountain feel, with lots of wood and rustic touches. Everyone was nice, though the cook was the only one who spoke English.

The decor looks great, but the beds felt like concrete and the thin walls let us hear people walking upstairs. Worst of all, a rooster started crowing at 4 a.m. and kept at it. There are earplugs in the room, so they know it’s noisy. No TV, and the internet kept cutting out.

The restaurant staff are kind and try hard, but service is so slow that it really tests your patience, even if you’re not in a hurry. The place is nice, though it could use more attention to details like reliable WiFi.
