The main road is very close, so traffic noise was the biggest problem. Getting to and from Centro isn't easy either, since Taxco is hilly and both directions have uphill stretches. The room itself was okay, with a comfortable bed and generally decent cleanliness, though the holes in the curtains really are there. The bathroom needs ventilation because the damp smell is strong. The pool was all right but looked run-down. Facilities weren't too bad, but service was poor. When we arrived and when we checked out, there was nobody in the lobby. Both times, when someone finally came, they plainly didn't want to do their job.

There are useful places close by: an Oxxo next door, a bakery across the street, and a Santander cash machine nearby. The city square is a short walk away. Since the hotel is on the main road, getting there is easier than at some other places, though Taxco's streets are extremely steep and narrow, so take care driving around town. We paid 900 pesos for a double room for two. It faced the pool and parking lot, and street noise lasted until around 9pm before it got quieter. There's gated parking with room for almost any vehicle, plus a pool, hot water with decent pressure, and a ceiling fan but no A/C. Wi-Fi didn't reach our room.

It's near the edge of the city center and fairly priced for what you get. Nothing fancy, but the pool area is nice, and there's a terrace with a view over the city.
