The house is absolutely beautiful, with lovely gardens and a gorgeous terrace. The building dates to 1620, as you can see above the main door, and the lobby is comfortable. The rooms are a good size, the service is great, and they wash your towels every day. Sonia and Rosa are especially kind and sweet. There’s also a restaurant downstairs for breakfast or lunch. They help stray dogs and cats by feeding them, arranging veterinary care and neutering, and finding homes for those living on the street. You can support that work by donating or buying something from the little shop at the front desk. The money goes toward food and vets. There is hot water, though it takes a while to come through. Once it does, it’s really hot. This is a wonderful place to stay and rest while in town.

The restaurant was comfortable and welcoming, and the food was so good. The people were helpful, friendly, and made me feel special. The place has a rustic feel, which I liked. Taxco itself is historic and colonial, with plenty of churches and lots of silver from its mining past. It’s a magical experience, even with a few pesky insects around. That’s the wild for you, right? LOL #TheBrokerWithAHeart #SeHablaEspanol

I’ve traveled a lot, and this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The owner and staff are incredibly nice and made me feel welcome and at home in a way I can hardly describe. Citlal was a star, and my whole family adores her. I’ll be bringing family and friends back for a couple of nights.

The hotel itself is stunning, with a perfect location and beautiful views. The rooms are three-star but perfectly fine, and I slept well. After five nights, I was disappointed they wouldn’t let me check out late on a Monday. When the manager is there, the service is five-star. Skip the restaurant. I’d stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The staff were a little reserved, but polite and helpful. They recommended Pozolería Tía Calla, Del Ángel Inn, and some fondas in the mercado, and we enjoyed all of them. The rooms are quaint and have the amenities you need, though the older bathroom and TV could use an update. Everything was clean and homey. The hotel is gorgeous, from its boutique-like entrance and thoughtful decor to the well-kept courtyard and rooftop access. It’s in a prime location and exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. It would be even better if you could order breakfast, coffee, or cocktails up on the rooftop.
